My journey, your hope

Welcome to my story. Here, I share the path I've walked, not just as a personal account, but as a beacon of hope and understanding for others. Join me as I open up about my experiences and the power of recovery.

From darkness to dawn: my path to survivorship

My name is Seb, and my journey began in Scotland, marked by decades of grooming, abuse, and exploitation. From my earliest childhood into adulthood, reaching the age of 40, I endured grooming rings, organised group-based sexual grooming, violence, abuse, and exploitation. These experiences unfolded in various environments and locations, shaping much of my early life. This page is a testament to the strength found in overcoming such profound challenges.

A voice for the unheard: inspiring recovery

My deepest hope in sharing my story is to inspire and support other survivors. I want every person who reads these words to know, unequivocally, that recovery is not just a possibility, but a reality. Your voice and your truth matter immensely. Through Survivors Voice, we aim to amplify these truths, creating a community where every survivor feels understood and empowered to heal.

The enduring truth: recovery is possible

If there is one message I wish to impart, one singular truth to hold onto from my story, it is this: recovery is possible. No matter the depth of the trauma or the length of the journey, healing and reclaiming your life is within reach. My path is proof of that, and I believe in the resilience within each of us to find our own strength and peace.

"My story is proof that even after decades of darkness, light and healing are always within reach. Your voice matters, and your recovery is possible."
