Welcome to Survivor Voices, a new advocacy project born from personal experience and a profound commitment to change. Discover our mission, our unique approach, and the powerful reasons we believe every survivor's voice matters.

Why survivors voice?
Survivor Voices was created from a deeply personal place. As a survivor of grooming, abuse, and exploitation in Scotland spanning decades, from childhood through adulthood, I experienced years of being silenced. This silence was enforced by conditioning, circumstance, systemic failings, and the pervasive impact of trauma. It was only through healing, finding a safe space, time, compassion, and trust that I was able to find my voice again.

Our profound mission
Our goal at Survivor Voices is to empower others, to share personal stories, advocate for change, and raise crucial awareness. We aim to foster understanding that leads to positive changes and increased prevention of harm for all. If Survivor Voices could achieve one major thing for survivors, it would be to unequivocally show them that their voice matters. We want every survivor to know they are not alone on their journey.

What makes us special
While many organisations offer support, Survivor Voices stands apart through its foundation in genuine, lived experience. My story is my own, and it underpins the authenticity of our advocacy. We believe that every survivor has their own individual experience, and by working together, we can achieve meaningful and lasting change. We are committed to creating a space where these unique voices are heard, respected, and contribute to a collective movement for better understanding and prevention.
